Some awkward moments

  • Mood: hanging in there
  • Music: Avenue Q - What Do You Do With a B.A. in English/It Sucks to Be Me
  • Weather: Mostly in the 70's this week! I don't need a jacket anymore.
  • So today... I had to get up early... not fun.

Well. The last two weeks were sufficiently awkward. With several personal things, school, concerts, and being "awkwardly close" on Peer Mentoring Day, it has been pretty hectic. Aside from that, I haven't got much to say. Unless you'd like to hear about it, of course.

Last Tuesday, I had yet another 100 on a math quiz... but on Monday, I got a 95. There goes my 100 streak. Well, I'm not too upset with that but I am upset with my English stuff. More on that later. We had another math quiz Friday and I'm not expecting much. UPDATE 5.8.07: I FAILED. See? Told you so. 60% is my worst grade in math. Ever. Plus, we took another test today. *tombe mort*

Last Wednesday, there was a western civ. test. I just barely made an A. We've gotten TONS of study guides to fill out so I've been SO busy doing those things and lugging around that huge dead tree (also called a textbook). You’d think my grade would go up with study guides, but alas, no, it's gone down. There was a quiz on Wednesday but I had to take it Thursday. No scores as of yet.

We turned in the draft to our French write-a-freaking-play project last Thursday. He didn't give it back to us until Tuesday. The dress rehearsal is Monday. Help me. Did I mention the fact that he SHAVED??? Yes, that's right; our student teacher actually SHAVED the is-it-just-stubble-or-is-it-an-attempt-at-a-beard off! Now his face looks normal. Also, what is with his obsession with www.wordreference.com? He put a huge freaking SIGN in the room and told us to use it. Like we can't read already.

Well, I finally finished the ESSAY that we had to do in WINDOWS APPLICATIONS class. It was due last Friday but most of us didn't turn it in until Monday or later. It was supposed to teach us how to use the MLA format but come on, what a waste. We write essays in English class. Writing one in biology was bad enough.

Speaking of English, last Friday we had the vocab/oral report in-class paragraph (a looong paragraph). We had to write about the most significant part of our presentations and include words from our vocab unit. Mine went something like this: "This assiduous issue is likely to create rancor with both sides being so capricious and sophomoric while seeking indemnity for the emaciated persons who need to be chastised." Yeah, right. I just BSed my way through and I expect a C. Aim low and be pleasantly surprised later, I say. It works. Our next vocab units are due every Monday until the book is done. *sigh* We got a new stupid book. The Catcher in the Rye doesn’t impress me so far even if it's supposed to be good.

This is embarrassing. Every Tuesday we have Women's Ensemble after school, right? Well, I completely forgot about it and got on the bus by accident. So I got my mom to drive me back to school and then leave to pick me up later. Then I find out that there wasn't Women's Ensemble anyway because the director wasn't there. It had been moved to Friday so I had to call my mom to take me home. Sad, I know.

Well, as you know, the orchestra concert was Tuesday night (see the previous post). Well AFTER the concert, I still went to CC rehearsal and didn't get home until after 9. I stayed up to take a shower and make "embryo-doh" for biology... stupid. It was flour, salt, water, lemon juice, and oil all mixed together to create DOUGH. Our stupid project didn't look like much when it was done (a day late since my group was made up of the peer mentors that missed class on Wednesday). I have a lot of bio stuff to do.

Peer Mentoring Day was on Wednesday so I got to skip class to lead 8th graders around the school. It was fun but mostly awkward. My group wasn't very talkative or enthusiastic and my partner and I were at a loss at times. Some teachers seemed annoyed when we stopped by their classrooms and my English teacher glared at me (or my mentees? I'm not sure which).

"Awkwardly close" refers to the game "sit on my knees please" that we played at the very end. They took everyone out on the football field and lined them up in a circle where we had to be "awkwardly close" to the person in front of us. I observed that it was more of an "awkward square" than an "awkward circle." It took sooo long until the signal was given and everyone was told to sit. The perfect situation would have everyone sitting and supporting each other's weight but it never works so we all collapsed.

The CC concert is tomorrow and we had a morning rehearsal today. My favorite rehearsal quote from our oh-so-fabulous conductor (I'm not being sarcastic this time!) is "Give us a D." "What?" "D as in DUMMY." So mean to the poor pianist, but it was shocking to say the least. Good day to you, too.

Austrian Sigmund Freud is known as the father of psychoanalysis, yet people have (mental) health problems because of their disfavor, illustrating the preditory purpose of this discipline, this individual.
These people.
Of course Hitler was Austrian. Glock, maker of the semi-automatic gun favored by black street gangs such as the Bloods and the Crips, is Austrian.
RedBull Energy drink, Buwdeiser both Austrian.

The Holocaust was foreshadowing, yet another example of the Jews sacrificing to help the disfavored::::
1. 1492 exodus from Spain. Spain became evil - financed Columbus, initiated missionaries, USA (dumping ground of disfavored victimized by god), etc.
2. Spread throughout Europe as clue to Christians worshipping a false god.
3. "Quasi-Holocaust claim" contradicting boss.
4. 5. 6. 7. etc. etc. etc.
The Apocalypse (or an Apocalyptic event) will be initiated by an Austrian. When the national referendum to allow foreign-born individuals to run for president is introduced I recommend you DEFY and vote NO!! In the years prior to this vote the gods will send POWERFUL clues suggesting the IMPORTANCE OF DEFIANCE.

Italy's boot is a clue showing the god's intent with the Romans AND their active involvement::The gods micromanaged the Eutruscans into the role of Romans.
Oshkosh is a clue just as Lake Michigan and Green Bay are clues. It is the ejaculate clue:::Life springs forth from this region.
Expect your traditional Second Coming of Christ to come from the region. Consistant with the possibility of matrilinial lineage it may be the mother's family from the Lake Winnebago area fulfilling some "Manifest Destiny" bullshit theater::::You see Manifest Destiny all around you (corporate).
Manifest Destiny dictates a white-man's prophecy:::::White-man's world, white-man's Apocolypse.

This isn’t about reals and clones. This is about the brains and the brain-less:::The brain-less are people whose families have been OUT FOR GENERATIONS, famil

Ok... I am a little confused as to how your reply is tied to the post in any way. If I did not know better, I would say you were spamming the blog with your opinion. But I know better.

Regardless, I offer my sympathy for those awkward moments... I had my share of them this week. I hope you have a better week than I just had (but that should not be too hard).
